NOTICE

Dec.25 of 2008 ,PACTL organized a coordination meeting for lithium battery ( as non -restricted shipment, for example: battery of laptop ) acceptance issue and physical security check with participants of SIA , SIA security company , SIFFA , and relative agents & shippers ( laptop manufacturers ) . With purpose of ensuring aviation safety , reducing frequency of opening shipments for physical check and improving service quality , all parties reached agreement upon following subjects :
l , Regarding Certification for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods , Security company and PACTL only accept the certification issued by the testing organizations listed on CAAC website . Forwarding agents should take the original certification and show it to Security company and PACTL for documentation handover . Security company and PACTL will check the original certification and keep a copy for filing . If certain airlines have objections , PACTL will still keep the original certification according to the airline ' 5 request .

2 , Suggest laptop manufacturers mark on single package and composite package with name , type and volume of lithium battery . Therefore Security company can check shipments against its certification without opening package .

3 , Security company will put Notification into the single piece repackage of goods for those shipments opened for physical check . The Notification format is as following:

The above measures will be implemented as of 10 Jan 2009 . The existing operation mode keeps unchanged until the said date .
