New cargo opportunities to China, Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia and UAE

May 4, 2010

Dear customer,

As from 8 May 2010, AF-KL Cargo offers scheduled services between Amsterdam and Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport in China. We are the first to offer direct service between Hangzhou and Europe. Flights will be operated with a Boeing 777-200ER, three times a week, departing from Schiphol on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and returning from Hangzhou on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Hangzhou, with close to 7 million inhabitants, has developed into a major commercial and tourist center in China. This fast-growing market offers interesting cargo opportunities. Hangzhou’s economic activities focus on information technology and electronics, pharmaceuticals and chemicals, machinery, textiles and garments.

As from 7 May 2010, AF-KL Cargo offers scheduled services between Amsterdam and San Jose in Costa Rica. Flights will be operated weekly with a MD-11Freighter*, departing from Schiphol on Fridays and returning from San Jose on Saturdays.

San Jose is an important commercial area, as well as an interesting connection point to other destinations in Central America.

AF-KL Cargo offers also a new destination – Riyadh - and a new lane from Paris to Abu Dhabi.

Since March 30, 2010, we offer scheduled services from Amsterdam to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia twice a week. Flights to Riyadh will be operated with a Boeing 747-400 Freighter*, departing from Schiphol on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Saudi Arabia has an oil-based economy and ranks as the largest exporter of petroleum in the world. Furthermore, the economy focuses on new opportunities in power generation, telecommunications, natural gas exploration and petrochemical sectors.

Starting May 3, 2010, we offer scheduled services between Paris and Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates. Flights to Abu Dhabi will be operated with an A330-200 five times a week. Although the UAE is becoming less dependent on natural resources as a source of revenue, petroleum and natural gas exports still play an important role in the economy. A massive construction boom, an expanding manufacturing base, and a thriving services sector are allowing the UAE to diversify its economy.
